UNION ANNEXATION VOTE SET FOR JANUARY
Petitioners succeeded in getting the repeal of the Union annexation on the ballot at a special election. City Council discussed their options to respond to the successful petition at a Tuesday, October 16 study session. A unanimous vote set the special election for January 29, 2008. The election will also fill a vacant Council seat for either successful Mayoral candidate, Karen Benker or Roger Lange.
