CITY ADOPTS BUSINESS INCENTIVE PROGRAM

City Council adopted tax and fee incentives designed to attract and retain businesses on January 16, 2007. The Business Assistance Programs features uniform standards for applying to receive benefits such as rebates on taxes and building permit fees. Benefit amounts will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. The Council also formally established the Business Retention and Development Committee, an advisory committee to develop and implement business retention and attraction strategies.
