LIFEBRIDGE CHURCH SEEKING ANNEXATION OF PROJECT CAMPUS
LifeBridge Church’s application for annexation of the 313-acre Project LifeBridge Campus was reviewed by Council on May 2. The Project Campus is located southeast of Union Reservoir in Weld County. Prior to seeking annexation to Longmont, LifeBridge leader got approval from Weld County to build 300 homes and over 1 million square feet of religious, administrative, community and performance space on the parcel north of Colo. 119 near Sandstone Ranch. LifeBridge also owns a nearly 400-acre parcel north of Colo. 66 and west of U.S. 287, in unincorporated Boulder County they wish to annex and develop into a faith based shopping, entertainment and housing project. Unlike Weld, Boulder County will not approve urban developments in the county. LifeBridge hopes to leverage the Project LifeBridge Campus approval in Weld County to get both properties annexed and developed in Longmont. Discussions regarding the annexation were generally positive, although dealing only with concepts rather than specific annexation agreement terms and conditions.
