COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER REPEALING MOUNTAIN MERGER POLICY
The controversial policy that automatically merged mountain building lots for the past twelve years is apparently on its way out. Boulder County Land Use Director, Graham Billingsley told members of the Land Use Coalition that he will offer several alternatives aimed at repealing all or most of the merger policy that affected 471 lots since it was enacted in 1993. Last year county officials offered property owners an administrative process to unmerge lots but, very few have taken advantage of the process. County land use staff is eight months into a two-year rewrite of the land use code, including major changes to the site plan review process.
