CITIZEN GROUP WANTS PUBLIC VOTE ON ANNEXATIONS
While discussions on every major section of the town’s comprehensive plan continue, the citizen group known as the Our Town Coalition continue to oppose future annexations, new housing and planned development. In their latest move, the coalition, consisting of about a dozen residents, says it will petition an initiative onto the ballot that would require any future annexation are approved by voters. Getting such as proposal to the ballot will require the group to collect 400 valid signatures by May 13.
