CONSTRUCTION AT ANTHEM COLORADO ACCELERATING
The first residents of Anthem Colorado could begin their move-ins as early as March 2006. Pulte Homes, Inc. recently showed 17 models that will be constructed in the 2700-acre development located south of Colo. 7 and west of I-24. Del Webb is currently developing 1500 55 and over units in the project. Pulte expects to build out 3100 homes over six to eight years. The homes will be built in two different configurations with about half for the 55 plus buyer called Anthem Ranch and the balance in Anthem Highlands Ranch. About 900 acres of land along I-25 and east of Sheridan Blvd. is planned for commercial development and it has infrastructure in place while a search for a master developer is conducted.

120th AVENUE GETS A LOOK FROM WALMART
Broomfield Planning Director, Terrance Ware confirmed that Wal-Mart has expressed interest in locating in the 120th Avenue corridor. City official have been anxious to see redevelopment in the eastern entryway to Broomfield for several years. This is the biggest possible activity to occur in the eastern end of the corridor in recent memory. Specifically, Wal-Mart expressed interest in the 35-acre parcel that is now home to Barberˇ¦s Poultry. Just last year City Council adopted the 120th Avenue Plan that suggests the area will redevelop with a mix of uses that could include large format shopping, a civic center, housing and pedestrian oriented retail. Mr. Ware noted that Wal-Mart could be the economic catalyst to launch a desirable redevelopment of the corridor.
