Membership Affiliations

Colorado Association of REALTORS®

Dues paying members of B.A.R.A are automatically affiliated with C.A.R.. Headquarted in Englewood, C.A.R. maintains a full-time professional staff to provide legislative, educational, communications, political affairs and other member services.

National Association of REALTORS®

Dues paying members of B.A.R.A are automatically affiliated with N.A.R.. With offices in Chicago and Washington D.C., N.A.R. represents REALTORS® in all 50 states and is the world's largest trade association. Many services are available to members such as liaison with Congress and the administration (N.A.R. was recently named one of the most powerful lobbying groups in Washington), education, public relations, statistics, and research, legal action, member policy, and library services.

Institutes, Societies & Councils

Members are eligible to apply for membership in any of several specialized affiliated institutes, societies and councils. These groups include; the REALTORS® National Marketing Institute, The Institute of Real Estate Management, Women's Council of ® REALTORS , and the Real Estate Securities & Syndication Institute. Each offers education and certification in specialty fields. Only members of local Associations are eligible to participate.

The REALTOR® Title

Association members are recognized as more than real estate brokers, salespeople, or appraisers. The term "REALTOR®" is the exclusive designation of members of the National Association of REALTORS® and its local boards. It is listed in the U.S. Patent Office as a registered trademark.
